About me

dr Jakub Szczepański

Doctor of Philosophy. Assistant professor at the Department of the History of Philosophy of the Institute of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University.
Author of the books: The Political Power of Judgment, Immanuel Kant’s Political Philosophy, Metamorphosis.
Kant on the political change from a teleological point of view.
Permanent member and collaborator of international consortia: European Consortium for Political Research, Dutch School for Philosophy.
Running enthusiast. Marathon runner and ultramarathon runner.
Known for the analysis of the philosophical achievements of Hannah Arendt and Immanuel Kant.

Opposes narrow, patterned thinking and does not accept the lack of commitment to intellectual development – he firmly believes that the human condition depends on continuous learning, and understanding the present depends on the ability to look back (especially on the history of philosophy).

As an advisor and commercial proxy, for nearly 20 years he has been cooperating with several commercial companies, where he advises their management boards. He helps to set directions of action, make strategic decisions, and participate in analysing the most important problems.

It doesn’t just focus on exercising the brain muscles. He trains the rest of his muscles by taking part in numerous mountain ultramarathons, although he also supposedly runs his head.

WHY SHOULD YOU
TRUST ME?

because philosophy is my passion, I have been dealing with it for 20 years
because I am the author of three books on this subject
because I am an academic lecturer and I host my lectures in Poland and abroad
because I am an ultramarathoner and during the run, I conduct a careful observation of the mind and its possibilities
